It is very annoying when having to click the same buttons over and over again. A pop up window will always prompt us with the same options, even though you can check a "remember this" option. If you can't take it anymore, you can use PTFB Pro to memorize certain actions and perform them later, using simple shortcut keys. You can create a hot key for almost any action, from simple ones, like closing or resizing a window, to more complex ones, involving more than one click.

It will not take too much of your time to install the software on your computer. The download is 6.80 Mb, which should not make you wait too long. The actual installation process will also be fast. You can make some initial settings while going through the wizard, but it only involves clicking some check boxes.

The interface features a list of recorded tasks which you can enable or disable via check boxes next to each item. The two large buttons above this list will create a new task. The button labeled "Single Press" can be used for recording actions that involve a single click of the mouse. When using this feature, your cursor will look different and the program will memorize your next click and store it in the tasks list as a macro. Selecting it and clicking the Edit button beneath the list will open up a tabbed options window where you can customize this task. The most important thing is that you can set a hot key which you can use instead of clicking on something.

PTFB Pro also allows you to record more complex actions. The New Macro button will display four actions you can choose from. These include recording a series of actions on a window or the whole desktop. It works almost the same way as with the single press function, except for a few small differences. For example, when creating a window macro, you will first need to target a window, by clicking on it.

Another option you will have at your disposal when clicking the New Macro button is a program monitoring macro. You can use this feature to automatically restart a program if it hangs or crashes. This involves going through a simple wizard which will let you choose any of the processes running on your computer. During the next step of this wizard, you can opt for an automatic action, like launching the selected process if it's not running or not responding, forcing it to exit if it's running or restarting every few hours.

Pros

The software enables you to automate any repetitive task that involves clicking. It can also monitor any program and restart it in case it crashes.

Cons

You will need some time to figure out how to configure macros created with the Single Press feature because they won't work during the first try. Repetitive actions can be swiftly dismissed via hot keys. You can also rest easy if a program crashes because PTFB Pro will automatically restart them.
